Ending the 2025 school year some teachers and leaders are moving on from Fremont.
Alicia Mitchell (principal) and Sue Holmes (Head Secretary) who both work in the main office have announced that they are no longer going to be with us after the school year.
Mrs. Mitchell will be moving up to the District offices, and Sue Holmes will be retiring after over 30 years in the district.
Sue Holmes explained how she is ready to retire and ready to enjoy life. “Working here for 33 years makes it hard for anyone to part ways”.
Alicia Mitchell mentioned, “Leaving Fremont is bittersweet—I have truly loved being part of this incredible community and will deeply miss the students and faculty. While I’m excited to begin a new role as Curriculum Director at the district level, Fremont will always hold a very special place in my heart. Go Silverwolves!”
We are also going to miss Kristi Hall who teaches PE, but is moving out of the country. She says “Fremont has been home for the last 8 years for me, I’ve truly been surrounded by greatness while I’ve been here and I’ve been inspired every day to be better and push myself to give the students and the staff the best version of myself I can.”.
Charlene Jacobson, who works in the cafeteria, has also announced her retirement after this year. She has worked here at Fremont for 21 years and wants to enjoy life living around her grandkids in Washington! She explained her time at Fremont as “being a true silverwolf and changing lives day by day.”
We have a few teachers that have decided to move on from Fremont after this year, being Hannah Thomas (FACS Teacher), Nelson Nash (Biology Teacher), and Zachary Beyler (History Teacher). They have all put in hard work to make Fremont better, here is what they have to say about their time here!
Hannah Thomas (FACS Teacher) reflects “The students are bright and friendly. The teachers are kind and helpful. I will miss the wonderful people here a lot. Go Fremont!“
Nelson Nash (Biology Teacher moving to administration at Roy Junior), “Fremont is like my second home. Although it will be hard to leave everything behind after 11 years, I am excited for this next chapter! “
Zachary Beyler (History Teacher), will be taking a full time position at Weber High. He says, “Although I am looking forward to new opportunities, I will miss my Pack here at Fremont. It has been a wonderful place to begin my teaching career and I wish all my friends and students here the best!”
We are grateful for the work that all of these teachers and leaders have done for Fremont High School and wish them the best!
