18 school years ago, when the seniors were just entering the wide world, the class of 2006-2007 was roaming the halls of Fremont with their iPods and Walkmans, as they excitedly discussed the big screen hits and other iconic pop culture moments. This generation would also remember standing in line for the very first iPhone, which released in 2007 and changed the face of the tech world forever. Here are some things from 2006-2007 that are “graduating with the class of 2025.”
In 2006, a lot of fun and exciting things happened in pop culture! Kids and adults loved watching movies like “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and listening to catchy songs like “Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira. Everyone was talking about cool tech like the Nintendo Wii, which let people play games by moving their bodies. Ben Stiller was running around a museum filled with crazy exhibits come to life in “Night at the Museum”. TV shows like “High School Musical” made people sing and dance. 2006 was a year full of laughter, music, and great times! Happy 18th to the following:
Irreplaceable by Beyonce
One of the best songs to remember this special time is “Irreplaceable” by Beyoncé! This song is all about being strong and believing in yourself. Beyoncé sings about not letting anyone bring you down. When we listen to this song, it makes us feel ready to take on new adventures through newfound independence.
Life is a highway by Rascal Flatts .
Life is a Highway would be the perfect song for any seniors who are planning to finish their school year with a senior road trip. While it was a remake of an iconic pop-rock song from 1991, It has been 18 years since the release of the cover of this song that helped define the tone of Pixar’s “Cars” as part of the soundtrack. This is a song I’m sure many seniors loved growing up and they can listen to it in their adult life just reminiscing on all the times they had at Fremont.
