Monarch on 25th street offers fun events and tons of art. There’s so much to see and experience there. It is a versatile place. Art is one of the most important things they focus on. They also offer other things like markets, weddings, and even have stores and restaurants.
They have the Art Box that sells witchy things, candles, small little beads, etc. According to Jamie (a parent to a student of the Ninth Muse, a teaching studio at the Monarch) “if you’re looking for a fun afternoon go in and make a one of a kind candle.” Making a one of a kind candle can make the best gift, or even taking someone out to go make their own makes for a great activity and date.
They also have WB’s Eatery where you can get some good food. For parents and adults, they have kombucha, wine and more. They also board games, cool vases, art and other cool things for you to see as you eat.
Another thing they have is the OCA (Ogden Contemporary Arts) which shows tons of fun art from interactive art to moving pictures.
On the first Friday of every month, Monarch has an art stoll that showcases the members of the Monarch or what their students have done. They also have fun activities that change each time. Jamie elaborates, “I highly recommend everyone to walk though on the first Friday night. Come see all the creative amazing people”
They have the markets that take place as well. This allows for small artists that don’t already work there to be seen, or there are people that cook. They have many different markets.
The food market has tons of people that make food come once a month, this one occurring on the fourth week of the month. This allows for bakers to showcase what they are able to do.
The Monarch Market happens on the second Saturday of every month. This allows for people that don’t already have a workshop to come in to show what they can create. This does not just limit artists, it can be anyone that wants to sell what they made.
There’s so much to see and do that there’s always something for everyone. If you haven’t already been to the Monarch, I highly recommend coming down. It’s a fun place that anyone at any age can enjoy.
