Reporters, broadcasters, and jokers alike! You seen ‘em on TV, now get ready to see ‘em in the (extremely) funny papers!

The Pack TV team creates a broadcast for every A-day (excluding early-outs) which shares vital information with the student body, consistently coupled with completely captivating comedy, which is equal in importance, albeit less vital in comparison. So, how can you join in on the joke jumbles?
The only requirement to be part of the news team is to take one of the prerequisite courses. Most of the classes taught by Mr. Smith fulfill the credit requirement to be on Pack TV. Upon completion of at least one of the approved courses, students are able to audition for a spot on the team.
One of the more popular prerequisite classes to take is Broadcasting, where students learn the ins, outs, ups, and downs of live television production. This makes it the most helpful out of all of the course options if students decide to put their newly acquired knowledge to the test by joining Pack TV.

In the official class, the students collect information about important topics and write a script to read for the broadcast. This encompasses news relating to clubs, sports, and current school and world events.
Caden Higgs, a Senior and one of the members of the broadcast’s team explained, “The main focus of Pack TV is to get everything covered, everyone to be shown.”
With the leftover time, the team is allowed creative freedom to produce funny skits, sketches, and bits. This year, Locked Or Unlocked? with Payton Bell and Jordyn Heath and The Bizness Of Quizness with Alex Garcia are prime examples of the comedy that students make when given free reign over their own segments in the broadcast.
When the students on the news team are working together every other day (sometimes more than that), spending large amounts of time together in order to make each screening amazing, they’re bound to form friendships. In many students’ lives, Pack TV has proven to be an effective class to improve communication skills, social skills, and overall confidence.
Another member of the news team, Junior Payton Bell, said, “Pack TV is a great way to get experience, meet new people, and have fun while doing it.”
Now put your running shoes on, tie the laces, and sprint on down to the counseling office to switch into one of Mr. Smith’s classes! Hope to see you on the silver screen!
