Robot(ics) Uprising!

We interrupt this program with BREAKING NEWS. Get inside! Lock your doors! Board up your windows! It’s the robot uprising!

BY: IKE WOODBURY – EDITOR

Instructions for the lockdown will now play on repe— Huh? What’s that? Ohh! False alarm, folks! We’re supposed to broadcast the robotics uprising! We’ll get you back to your regularly scheduled program now.

For our next story of the day… From designing, to programming, to building, to driving, Fremont’s Robotics Club covers all the bases for future manufacturers, industrial engineers, nuclear engineers, and students who may just want to make robots.

Live on scene is Ezrah Brandley, Junior and Driver for the team. Ezrah, how we doin’?

(Laggy pause) Hi! Yes! So, we are here on site at the local Robotics Club. We’re seeing students collaborating with each other, making a highly functional robot, especially considering they’re operating at the High School level. From this display, we can truly see that “designing your robot, working as a team, and going through trial and error to figure out what works best is a satisfying process, especially when it works.” I’m currently being asked to test drive, so I’ll finish up. I’ve been Ezrah Brandley with the Paw Print News Network. Back to you.

Thank you, Ezrah! Now, it’s over to Aaron Woodland, Junior and Head Builder of the club, with the weather. What’s it lookin’ like, Aaron?

It’s looking great! We’re seeing a clear and cloudless week with room aplenty for some after-school robotics activities every day if you so desire! Before we finish here, allow me to say that from my experience as the Head Builder, “my favorite part about robotics is that feeling when you’ve been trying to get something working for a while, and you finally get it working how you want it.” If students want to join, all they have to do is go to room B-209 and talk to Ms. Spell. That’s all for the weather! I’m Aaron Woodland of PPNN, returning it to the main desk now.

Thanks, Aaron! On to our next segment of the day, “Who is John Cena, and why do I feel like he’s watching me?” We’ll be back after these messages.
