Every quarter, we ask Fremont students to reflect on a certain question. The question for Speak this quarter is, “What are some holiday traditions in your family”.

Mykeairra Jones – Junior 

What are some holiday traditions in your family? Mykeairra Jones is a junior at Fremont and she said, “On Fourth of July we go over to my grandparents because that’s the only time of the year that the whole family gets together. We eat food together and have a Fourth of July BBQ as a whole family”. 

Marian Garcia – Junior

What are some holiday traditions in your family? Marian Garcia is a junior at Fremont and she said, “One of my favorite holiday traditions is on Christmas; me and my family make Rosca de Reyes, which is bread that has a little baby hidden inside of the bread. Whoever gets the baby in their slice of bread has to throw a party and make tamales”. 

Lexi Herzog – Sophomore 

What are some holiday traditions in your family? Lexi Herzog is a sophomore at Fremont and she said, “For Christmas Eve we get together on my dads side of the family and play bingo, there are also some prizes, they depend on the year but there is stuff like blankets and gift cards”. 

Peyton Wood – Sophomore

What are some holiday traditions in your family? Peyton Wood is a sophomore at Fremont and she said, “We go to my grandma’s on Christmas Eve and do a scavenger hunt, and we also cook pies together as a family every year on Christmas Eve”.

Baylor Davies – Senior

What are some holiday traditions in your family? Baylor Davies is a senior at Fremont and he said, “One of my favorite traditions is on Christmas we play a game where you gamble money, and we also play bingo as a family and we can win gift cards and snacks”.
