Dress code changed after 28 years.

Hats are now allowed in school, and the dress code is scaling back.

The dress code has been the same since 1994 but has recently been adjusted.
Students are now allowed to wear hats in the halls and some classes. In some of the classes, teachers will have you flip your hat backwards or take it off for educational purposes. If you have ASL you will have to take your hat off so you can see facial expressions better..

The dress code will not be enforced after 2:30 according to the school’s dress code policy online. There are some exceptions including weed, pornography, or any alchohol-related shirts or refrances. If the school staff sees any of the following they might ask you to change or leave the school event.

The hat policy was meant to ensure that if someone was to do something like vandalize, fight or break other rules we would be able to identify their faces. If they had a hat it was said it would have made it harder to find them. Assistant Principal Mogolich said, “Sometimes it is actually easier to identify people who are wearing hats.”

They don’t intend to change much about the dress code, but Bonneville piloted the hat policy last year, and they did not seem to have any problems identifying kids, and sometimes the hats made it easier to find them.

The admin will not try to remove you from the school for your clothes, because school is their number one priority and they want you to be here. They will tell you to change your clothes and if there is more shirt you can un tuck it, but they do not want you to miss school but they want you to dress appropriately.
