Junior Varsity Football and Why You Should Go

JV works hard and does great, but rarely has much more than parents in the crowd, let’s support them as a school and as a community.

Varsity Football Games are awesome, crowds going wild, food, and the players work hard. However, we have a far overlooked team right under our noses. Junior Varsity has a 6-3 overall, which might not seem like much but JV saw quite a bit of success. The Sophomore team also ended the regular season with a 6-3 record. Some outstanding players this year are Jax Parker, Cooper Allen, Sam Layton, Cade Hadley, Stone Seich, Kasen Pearson, Calvin Cooper, and Dax Child.

Off the field, the football teams do all their fundraising, practice, and official team bonding activities together. They do team dinners as well as practicing together all the time. Along with that, many members of the team are friends with each other and do other sports together in addition to football.

The JV team worked really well together this year off the field, and it seems that their synergy translated well on the field in their weekly battles.
Although every team has their ups and downs, football has been basically a roller coaster this year, having both won and lost in a couple different landslide games this year. Our Junior Varsity team only improved and has continued to improve throughout the season because of their hard work and dedication to their studies, their teammates, and their actual skills. It would seem that could be a good sign for our varsity team next year as these students return to the field for the 2024-2025 season.

Students should go to as many school activities as they can, but football has a way of bringing the community together, and junior varsity is a great team that we can feel proud of.
