Motivation and commitment to a sport does not come easy. To gain determination you have to gain confidence in your abilities. In every sport you need perseverance in school, you need commitment. Without it there is no lead to your life being successful. 

It has been proven that people who do not play sports don’t have enough serotonin. Serotonin prioritizes a release when performing activity. Without sports your serotonin levels and physical activity are lower than the average recommended level. 

Wrestling not only builds physical strength, but teaches valuable life lessons. Wrestling is a great sport to commit to as it opens up many opportunities in the future. It is also a mentally challenged sport. This drives some people away from wrestling but also towards. Having the ability to individually challenge yourself but also work as a group is resilient and essential.

The Wrestling team is continuously searching for new teammates. Fremont needs a 106 pound teammate to join. In return they will be rewarded with an Xbox if they stay the rest of the season. Coach Storeys states. “Many kids are hooked to video games, I figured it would be an easy fix for the position.” So if you are in this weight class, take this chance to have fun with this sport.”

Wrestlers can compete at higher levels such as college, and even Olympic levels. Additionally it can lead to scholarships and coaching opportunities. Kamren Wolff, a Junior on the Wrestling team, states. “It’s not like other sports where I have to depend on the team to perform.” If you are passionate about wrestling keep working hard, as an amazing window of opportunity is likely to come your way.

Wrestling has been viewed in a different light because of WWE, it created a fanbase and more people gained interest. WWE was created due to the awe it had, as wrestling is a demanding sport. WWE is a very controversial promotion owned business, as WWE is based on staged performances. There is a depicted winner on WWE, and because of that some wrestlers don’t want to be compared to dramaticized performances. 

On the other hand WWE is a great way of promoting wrestling to new viewers. It shows that wrestling is a fun competitive sport with entertainment purposes involved. Without WWE wrestling wouldn’t have such a spotlight as it does today. 

Wrestling opens up many opportunities; it teaches discipline and builds character. Additionally team work is involved, and so is competition. Values are taught providing important life skills. Avenues for scholarships and professional careers are offered. On and off the mat possibilities are open.
